Colleen Nikiel has been part of the Saints Peter and Paul faculty since 2014. After 3 years as a 4th and 5th grade teacher, she assumed the role of Director of Technology. This role has allowed her to not only provide various forms of technological support to the administration, faculty, staff, students, and families but also be an integral part of the formulation of the school's long term technology plan.
Prior to SSPP, she taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades at St. Isaac Jogues in Hinsdale for seven years. Growing up in the Lisle/Naperville area, she was a product of Catholic education and attended St. Joan of Arc and Benet Academy. She loves being part of the tight-knit, Christ-centered community of teachers, students, families, and administrators that is genuinely present in Catholic schools.
Colleen graduated from Saint Mary’s College in 2006 with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Elementary Education. She also earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Technology, Learning, and Design from Lewis University in 2010.
She currently resides in Naperville with her husband, Jonathan, and two children. She loves being part of her neighborhood community and volunteers as a pool board member. When given down time, she and her family like to go exploring in the great outdoors and have visited 13 National Parks in the last two years, with five more on the list for this coming summer.
